Le cuffie di Mark Dominik

Nel corso della partita di sabato scorso vs Dallas, le telecamere hanno inquadrato il GM dei Bucs, Mark Dominik, che assisteva alla partita dalla tribuna, più precisamente dal box generalmente occupato dagli assistenti allenatori. Ebbene, Dominik che seguiva attentamente il match con l’ausilio di un binocolo, aveva in testa le classiche “cuffie” della Motorola, identiche a quelle che aveva anche Morris sulla sideline.

Su forum e siti d’olltreocaeano si erano diffuse voci di ogni tipo sul perché il GM indossasse simile cuffie durante la partita e soprattutto su che cosa Mark Domink comunicasse, e a chi.

A precisa domanda su che cosa ci faccesse Dominik con le cuffie in testa, Morris prima l’ha messa simpaticamente sul ridere "He actually calls every offensive play and every defensive play,'' Morris quipped. "So under fire is Mark Dominik", per poi chiarire che è in realtà la prassi, che nel corso delle partite il GM segnali a Morris se sia il caso o meno di gettare in campo il fazzoletto rosso per chiamare un challenge, oltre ad aggiornare la sideline sulla situazione infortunati, sia dei Bucs che della squadra avversaria.

Direttamente dal St. Petersburg Times, queste le parole di Morris: 

"No, Mark Dominik handles injuries for me on both sides of the ball. (Trainer) Todd (Toriscelli) is able to call up to Mark Dominik and Mark Dominik is able to call down and say, "Raheem, you lost this guy for a series, you lost that guy for a series.' Hey, (Rah), I think Romo is limping.' I wished he had said that but he didn't. Things of that nature.
"He tells me everybody who potentially may be hurt on the other team, what's going on. When (Matt) Schaub got hurt, he was the first person to know at the stadium. He let me know right away. "I don't know if he's coming back.' He ended up coming back and then left after our game. Great.'
