"Certainly it has a big affect, for any coach, when you can match up a player with the other team's best receiver,'' Schiano said. "You can do some different things schematically when you have a player of Darrelle's talents. We've already begun our preparation and how to best utilize him and a lot of that will come in conversations with Darrelle, what he's comfortable doing, what he feels best doing. This isn't a rookie out of college, this is a guy who has played and been very successful in this league. We're going to play to his strengths within our scheme.''

“The intangibles we have here with this team with players like Josh Freeman, Vincent Jackson and Doug Martin – I could go on and on, down the list. We have some great guys and that was one of the things that we looked at. We have some guys here that can already play and I think that makes this the best fit for me.''

”I think they were a playoff team even before me being a part of Buc Nation.”
Nonché di essere arrivato nel posto giusto:
"There's no better place to win than here in Tampa," Revis said, adding, "it's a blessing how highly this organization looks at me. It didn't happen in New York for certain reasons. There are a lot of reasons why not. But I'm here now, and I'm a Buc, and that's how it's going to be for the next six years."

Infine, parola al GM Mark Dominik, l'artefice principale della trade: “You win in this league with your starters and your stars,” Dominik said. “This was an opportunity to add an elite player at a position of much need for our team. … This is a known commodity that we strongly believe in, and that’s why we pulled the trigger.”
