Bobby Slater, il nuovo preparatore atletico

Todd Toriscelli, dopo 17 stagioni trascorse a Tampa (13 come capo preparatore atletico e le ultime 4 nel ruolo di "director of sports medicine and performance", è da ieri entrato a far parte del nuovo coaching staff dei Tennessee Titans e si aggiunge agli altri ex assistenti allenatori dei Tampa Bay di Greg Schiano (John McNulty e Bob Bostad, rispettivamente QB e OL coach) passati agli ordini del nuovo HC dei Titans, Ken Whisenhunt.

Il posto di Toriscelli in casa Bucs verrà preso da Bobby Slater, un altro ex Chicago Bears voluto da Lovie Smith, che va dunque a rinfoltire la già numerosa pattuglia di assistenti allenatori con un trascorso comune a Lovie presso la franchigia dell'Illinois.

Slater è stato "director of rehabiliation" nei nove anni trascorsi da Smith come HC dei Bears, e vanta un tarscorso comune anche con il nuovo GM Jason Licht (nel 1995 erano entrambi ai Miami Dolphins). Lo scorso anno Slater era stato promosso da Chicago nel ruolo di "assistant athletic trainer" e adesso eccolo sbarcare a Tampa nelle vesti di "director of sports medicine and performance".

I was first introduced to Bobby back in 1995 when we were both with the Miami Dolphins and I have followed his career over the years. Bobby brings with him a wealth of experience working with and treating NFL players over the past 15 years and we are excited to have him heading up our medical team moving forward."
